| The
Orwin Associates Model Clinton DS5000P monitor
features a high line rate, high contrast
gray scale capability for medical imaging
in the portrait or landscape mode. The modular
construction and flexible design permit
the Clinton DS5000P to be configured for
mammography in landscape or for chest in
portrait. Custom electron optics holds the
spot (pixel) size down at high drive levels
providing 150 ftL of luminance with an anti-reflective
coated panel for improved contrast ratio
in procedural applications. An optional
darker panel provides additional contrast
enhancement at 100 ftL, for diagnostic reads
in controlled ambient conditions for superior
grayscale rendering.
The custom electron optics also provide improved
performance over the large 300x400 mm active video area, minimizing spot
growth into the corners and at the critical 5% point. Precise
control of the spot shape improves focus and enhances the contrast
modulation for diagnostic reads over the full screen. Low noise
P45 phosphor provides a smooth uniform screen with long term durability
not possible with blended phosphors. A state-of-the-art video
amplifier with custom features provides the bandwidth and dynamic
range needed to achieve the rated luminance with reserve video
drive capability to compensate for CRT aging. The combination
of long life P45 phosphor and a standard dispenser cathode provides
extended useful life in a demanding application. Service requirements
are minimized with automatic black level adjustment under microprocessor
control at programmed intervals.
